Jeju today announced it has got one more COVID19-positive case related to the Seoul woman who recently visited Jeju before being informed of the infection.
The new patient came from Jeongdaun Teahouse in Hallim where she visited every day. This is the second for the place.
Jeju local government is on high alert as this can be the worse situation ever since the beginning of the crisis.

 The novel coronavirus crisis can lead to an economic disaster of 1.5 trillion KRW(appx. 1.4 billion US$) loss, a councilor of Jeju Special Self-governing Provincial Council on Thursday claimed, Jejueconomy, a local internet newspaper reported.

 Councilor(CLLR) Yang Yeongsik said "Jeju had tourism gross income of 6.5 trillion KRW(appx. 5 billion US$) as it had 15 million tourists last year. According to Jeju's estimation, it may add up to 1.5 trillion KRW loss." after Mr. Kang Youngdon, the director of department of tourism at the provincial office, answered to his inquiry "As many as 3.5 million tourists decreasce is possible if the crisis continues till June." during the meeting on the novel coronavirus and suspending visa-free program.

 To avoid the doom, Governor Won Heeryong, this day, declared 'Local Economy Emergency' and announced it will run 'All-islanders Overcoming Crisis Consultative Group' from nect week.

 He also promised to support local businesses with special loans(700 billion KRW from upbringing fund for small - medium size industry + 200 billion KRW from special business stabilization fund) and guaranty(100 billion KRW which is the biggest ever). Additional financial supports will also apply.

 The Pros and Cons over the 2nd airport in Jeju is neck-and-neck.

 A recent poll, requested jointly by Jejusori, Jejusinbo, Jeju MBC and Jeju CBS, resulted in 'Agree' 47.3%, and 'Disagree' 48.5%, Jejusori, on Monday, reported. The previous one showed a not quite different answers as 'Agree' 47.9%, and 'Disagree' 45.4%, it added.

 The 3 regions(Seongsan-eup, Pyoseon-myeon, and Namwon-eup), which includes the 2nd airport location, are concluded in 62.1% of 'Disagree', while 'Agree' is 25.9%.

 Jejuites chose, as a solution for the conflict, 'Re-examination(29.8%)' first. 'Opinion Survey(23.6%)' and 'Referendum(23.6%)' came next. 'Stick to the Plan' made 22.8%.
