Jeju has zero case of COVID19 yesterday after 71 days since April 12.
The increase of new daily infection has, thus, come to an end with two on June 19th, three on the 20th, and one on the 21st. It all started with the college wrestling athletes on May 4th with some group infection cases followed.

The statistics reads that it has had 27 cases for the last week, which averaged up to 3.86 a day dropping from 5.14.
But, June recored 192 cases which is the second most next to last month.

The R0 for the virus went down to 0.58 that means it is under control. The number of quarantined decreased to 609(231 contacted, 378 from abroad), which topped over 2,000.
Jeju, however, keeps a close eye on the mutant virus thay may lead to more community infection.

  Jeju had 2 COVID19 cases(512~513) confirmed on January 22nd. One of them is related to Chamsol restaurant in Yusuam Area.

- 512: Visited the restaurant, and went to the walk-thru clinic at the airport. at 7pm.

  This was the 7th infection since case 505 on Jan. 19. 4 are staffers, 2 acquaintances, and 1 visitor. Jeju checked 331 visitors out of all 338. 1 tested positive, and the other negative.

- 513: Contacted case 500 who got a positive result on the 18th.

  Jeju had 1 case of COVID19(#500) out ofr 507 tests on January 18. This marks up 79 altogether in 2021, and 11 in the last week with the average case a day 1.57.

  Case 500 tested positive at around 6pm, but is under investigation for itineraries. The person stated having a dinner with friends from the mainland before, Jeju revealed.

  However, the whole check-up on 83 people on a local juvenile penitentiary ended up with 0 case after the final one on the 18th before they were released from isolation. They had no positive case at the first look-at on the 6th.

  Jeju had only 1 case(493) of COVID19 on January 14th. It is the result out of 1,384 tests. This dropped the average number of infection a day from 3.1(22 cases from Jan. 7th~13th) to 2.4(17 cases from Jan. 8th~14th).

  Case 493 visited Seoul from January 13th to 14th. This person arrived in Jeju on the 14th, and went to the walk-thru clinic at the airport to have a test.

  Beside this, 32 people out of 39 who are known to have been to BTJ World Center in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do province, have been checked, and 28 showed negative. The other 4 are waiting for the result.

  Jeju has also identified the 7 people with the help of the police. 4 of them were reached and are expeting tests. 1 was confirmed to be in Gyeonggi area. The rest 2 didn't go to the center, it was proven.

  Lastly, 857 people at Jeju prison tested negative.

  Jeju had only 1 new case(#490) of COVID19 on December 12. It has been 41 days since it had the same number of infection a day. This result came out of testing 736 people.

  Case 490 is being scrutinized to trace the infection route. The person went to Jeju Healthcare Center after realizing of running into the itineraries of a confirmed patient.

  Besides this, Jeju was handed over with the list of 38 people who visited 'BTJ Center of the Nations' in Sangju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It has been known to be another possible epicenter of spreading the coronavirus as it reportedly broke the governmental restrictions on COVID19 such as gathering in big groups with leaving mobile phones off. Jeju has tried to reach them, but succeeded with only 11. Out of this, 5 got negative results, while 6 are waiting to get theirs. 9 denied going to the center, Jeju revealed.
