Jeju breaks another record as COVID19 cases jumped to 169 on Feb. 2 from 122 the previous day.

66 out of 169 got infected after contacting local patients, while 67 is still to be studied for the origin.

Omicron variant infection jumped to 25 cases accordingly. 23 of them are from domestic reasons.

Cases by the age are 22.8% in 20s, 18.4% in 30s, 16.8% in 10s, 13.1% in 40s, and 15.3% in under 10.

More COVID19 cases are following with speeding down from 20s to tens a day in Jeju, August.
Specific numbers are 12(#1753~1764) on the 1st, and, the next day, 21(#1765~1785), then, 23명(#1786~1808) on the 3rd, 24명(#1809~1832) on the 4th이었다. On the 5th saw 16명(#1833~1848), 13(#1849~1861) on the 6th, 5(#1862~1866) on the 7th, and 11(#1867~1877) on the 8th.

Community cases like from company 5 are still worrisome, but it seems declining. The peak vacation season end is giving a good chance of better situation.

It has been a tough month for Jeju along with the whole Korea as the COVID19 cases have been getting close to 'out of control'. Seoul has seen the hardest time at all, followed by Gyeonggi-do and a few other regions. The S&G stepped into 'Level 4' restrictions, and Jeju 'Level 3'.

Everyone, not 'every one' apparently, though, is trying so hard to getting this forrth wave to an end. But, it doesn't seem easy as the great number of tourists are rushing into the island because it's the peak season of year as they have a vacation during the last week of July and the first one of August.

COVID19 Cases In July

Jeju is still in good control over COVID19 when the daily cases of infection is over 500.

- Case 618: A foreigner who entered Jeju on the 24th.

- Case 619: Visited Gyeongbuk from the 18th till 21st and Dobong-gu, Seoul on the 21st.

- Case 620: Checking the paths of infection.

● March 26th(#621~622)

- Case 621: Had symptoms since March 17th, but a test on the 25th.

- Case 622: Family with case 621. Had symptoms since March 20th.

- Case 623번: Arrived in Jeju on the 27th from abroad.

● March 30th(#624~625)

- Case 624: Visited Seoul areas from the 8th till the 23rd. Screened with a fever trying to leave Jeju this day.

- Case 625: Arrived in Jeju on the 22nd. Notified of having contacted a Gyeonggi case on the 24th. Had a negative result from the first test.

● March 31st(#626~627)

- Case 626: Tourist who entered Jeju on the 23rd. Got notified of having contacted a Gyeongnam case.

- Case 627: Screened of a fever during entering Jeju on the evening of the 30th after having stayed in Seoul since March 1st.

● April 1st(#628~631)

- Case 628&629: Both met a Gangnam-gu case while the person was in Jeju, case 628 on the 26th and case 629 from the 26th till the 28th respectively.

- Case 630: Screened over a fever while entering Jeju in the morning.

- Case 631: Contacted one of cases 628 & 629.

● April 2nd(#632)

- Case 632번: Arrived in Jeju for tour on March 29th. Been notified of having contacted a Seongbuk-gu case from Seoul on the 1st.

Jeju has kept 3 days of no new COVID19 case as it had none from January 24th till the 26th.

Jeju has now the 80th case of COVID19 which is from abroad like the 79th case. The person arrived in Jeju last night and tested positive this afternoon.

In the meantime, the 62nd patient was discharged from hospital today. This makes the number of people in treatment 20.

Jeju today announced that a person arrived in Jeju last night tested positive for COVID19 today.

Another COVID19 case is confirmed after the 64th today.
This case is from a person in Daejeong area who visitied the mainland eariler this month, not like the recent ones that close contact was the origin.

Jeju today announced the 64th case of COVID19 infection. The new case is also contracted through a close contact with a patient confirmed in Seoul. This marks for the 4th result of the same kind.

It took only one day before Jeju has got another COVID19 infection. The new case is confirmed to be contracted through contacting the 61st patient.
Jeju local government made it clear that it doesn't reveal the itineraries of a new case unless it can control the whole situation.
