  Jeju had '0' case of COVID19 again on January 24th after 2(#517~518) on the 23rd.

- 517: Arrived in Jeju from the USA on the 23rd at about 9:00 am. Had a sample taken at the walk-thru clinic at the airport.

- 518: Had a severe fever before going to Sepgwipo Healthcare Center on the 23rd. Came to Jeju with family on January 5th. Had the symptom first on the 18th. Met other family members on the 10th and the 13th.

  This led to testing 7 people, of which 5 got negative results.

  Jeju had run tests on 209 people regarding the ferries going to Mara-do islet. All of them tested negative. It is counted that there are 873 passengers who boarded them during the dates. 169 took tests. 102 had no problem, while 67 are waiting for the outcome.

  Jeju had 3 more cases(514~516) of COVID19 out of 563 tests on January 22nd.

  All of the 3 people got infectd by contacting whom already tested positive, 2 with case 513 and 1 with case 493.

- 514 & 516: Family with case 513 who got a positive result one day before. 

- 515: Contacted case 493 who tested positve on Jan. 14th. Been in isolation.

  Chamsol restaurant made 373 staffers, visitors and residents get tests from Jan. 20th till Jan. 22nd. Only 1 person(#512) got infected.

  Jeju had new cases of COVID19 as 6 on January 19th and 5 on the 20th.

● Jan. 19th(501~506)

  The 6 people tested positive through contacting already-infected people. 1 is still to be decided.

- 501, 502: Family with case 483 who got positive on the 9th. Been in isolation.

- 504: Contacted case 475. Been in isolation since the 7th.

- 503, 506: Contacted a patient of Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do Province. Jeju assumed the 2 may have been contracted with the coronavirus by contacting the Yongin person while s/he was in Jeju from the 5th to the 10th. Case 506 is family with case 503.

- 505: Being researched.

● Jan. 20th(507~511)

  The all 5 positive cases on the 20th were from having contacted case 505. 3 of them work at Chamsol restaurant in Yusuam of Jeju, and the other 2 are residents who are regular customers.

- 507, 509, 511: Staffers of the restarurant. Jeju thinks they have been contracted with COVID19 by working and eating with case 505.

- 508, 510: Family. They are reported to often visit it. They also went there on the day before case 505 tested positive.

  Jeju had 1 case of COVID19(#500) out ofr 507 tests on January 18. This marks up 79 altogether in 2021, and 11 in the last week with the average case a day 1.57.

  Case 500 tested positive at around 6pm, but is under investigation for itineraries. The person stated having a dinner with friends from the mainland before, Jeju revealed.

  However, the whole check-up on 83 people on a local juvenile penitentiary ended up with 0 case after the final one on the 18th before they were released from isolation. They had no positive case at the first look-at on the 6th.

Jeju had 2 cases(478-479) of COVID19 on December 17th.
- 478: Contacted case 475 who tested positive on the 7th. Been in isolation since.
- 479: Contacted a person who was infected with the coronavirus in Gwangju. This person visited the city on December 14th.

  Jeju had '0' case of COVID19 on January 16th. This is after 37 days since December 11th. But it got 2 cases in the afternoon of the 17th.

  Jeju on Sunday announced that it tested 585 people on the 16th, with no result of 'positive'. This is the only in the nation that had 500 people infected on the day.

  However, 2 infection cases(498~499) were reported the next day.

- 498: Contacted case 475(January 7th). Been in isolation before having a fever and going to Jeju Healthcare Center for test.

- 499: Contacted an infected person in Gwangju City. Came back to the island on the 14th, and was notified of being in a same place with the patient.

  All 33 People who are related with the dance teacher tested negative.

  The remained 2 people who were on the list of visitors to BTJ Global Center in Sangju, Gyeongbuk, had negative results. Therefore, 36 of 39 from the list tested safe. One person was transerred to the list of Gyeonggi-do Province. The other 2 were confirmed not having been to the center.

 Jeju had 4 new cases(494~497) of COVID19 out of 614 testees on December 15th. This totals up to 76 this year so far.

  The new patients are from contacting the infected people in Jeju. Cases 494, 495 and 496 shared the same place with case 493, and case 497 with case 449.

- 494, 495, 496: Contacted case 493. Case 494 has shown no symptoms, yet. But, case 495 has a minor pain on throat. Case 496 has a fever.

- 497: Contacted casse 449 who tested positive on December 4th. Been in isolation since then. Showed no symptom.

  One of the infected is reported to have ran 3 dancing classes at a language academy for about an hour each time. Jeju authorities did tests on all 33 people.

  Checking on 39 people related to BTJ Global Center was completed because 36 got tested, 2 were exempted as they were proved not to have visited it, and 1 was transferred to another city.

  Jeju had only 1 case(493) of COVID19 on January 14th. It is the result out of 1,384 tests. This dropped the average number of infection a day from 3.1(22 cases from Jan. 7th~13th) to 2.4(17 cases from Jan. 8th~14th).

  Case 493 visited Seoul from January 13th to 14th. This person arrived in Jeju on the 14th, and went to the walk-thru clinic at the airport to have a test.

  Beside this, 32 people out of 39 who are known to have been to BTJ World Center in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do province, have been checked, and 28 showed negative. The other 4 are waiting for the result.

  Jeju has also identified the 7 people with the help of the police. 4 of them were reached and are expeting tests. 1 was confirmed to be in Gyeonggi area. The rest 2 didn't go to the center, it was proven.

  Lastly, 857 people at Jeju prison tested negative.

  Jeju has 2 new COVID19 cases(491~492) in December 13th. This marks up 11 straight days with no more than 10 infection a day in Jeju. It has also been 5 days with the number under 2.

- 491, 492: Family with case 490 who tested positive yesterday. 19 people have been checked with the coronavirus. 18 of them got negative, and the other 1 is waiting for a result.

- Jeju Prison Case

  Jeju is practicing the 2nd tests on 853 people(622 inmates and 231 staffers) today.

- BTJ Center of the Nations(As of 11 am)

  19 visitors out of 39 have had tests so far. 14 got negative results, while 5 are still standing by for the outcome. 3 more people will be tested today.

  Out of the rest 17, 2 denied having gone to the center, and 1 leaving the island. The other 14 cannot be reached, yet.

  Jeju had only 1 new case(#490) of COVID19 on December 12. It has been 41 days since it had the same number of infection a day. This result came out of testing 736 people.

  Case 490 is being scrutinized to trace the infection route. The person went to Jeju Healthcare Center after realizing of running into the itineraries of a confirmed patient.

  Besides this, Jeju was handed over with the list of 38 people who visited 'BTJ Center of the Nations' in Sangju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It has been known to be another possible epicenter of spreading the coronavirus as it reportedly broke the governmental restrictions on COVID19 such as gathering in big groups with leaving mobile phones off. Jeju has tried to reach them, but succeeded with only 11. Out of this, 5 got negative results, while 6 are waiting to get theirs. 9 denied going to the center, Jeju revealed.
